How to measure
A tape measure gives the best answer. Big strides of about a metre work for a rough idea.
Length × width
Measure the length and the width in metres, then multiply. A lawn 8 m long and 5 m wide is 40 m².
Odd shape? Split it into rectangles, work each one out and add them together. Take off anything that won't be grass.
