Cookies, Kept to a Minimum
We keep this to a minimum: a few things that make ordering work, and analytics only if you say yes.
What we need to store
These keep the shop working and can't be switched off. They don't track you around other websites.
Your order so far
Remembers the size and postcode you've typed while you move between pages, so nothing's lost before you pay. If you start a turf laying quote form, it keeps your answers in case the page needs to show them again. These use your browser's session storage, which clears when you close the tab.
Your cookie choice
Remembers whether you said yes or no to analytics, so we don't keep asking. It's kept as a cookie for 180 days and in your browser's local storage until you clear it.

The secure checkout run by our payment provider sets its own cookies under that provider's policy once you move on to pay.
Analytics cookies
If you say yes, Google Analytics shows us which pages get used and where people get stuck, so we can make the shop easier to use. It doesn't tell us who you are. If you say no, these cookies are never set.
Turning analytics cookies off
Changed your mind? Use the cookie settings link in the footer of any page to switch analytics on or off. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings.
Separately, Cloudflare Web Analytics keeps a basic visit count. It sets no cookies and identifies no one. Switch it off under "Basic visit counting" in cookie settings.
